CONCEPT
Inspired by one particular scene in the American movie "Interstellar" (2014), where Matthew McConaughey gets trapped between time and space and can see simultaneously different moments of his life, Syona explores further this visual concept and gives it new valences. Syona challenges her viewers to feel the intrinsic vibration of colours and marks she is conveying in her painting. The acrylic alternates naturally between 2-D and 3-D, suggesting the key is in-between dimensions, out of space and time, as we know them.
