With the “Four Seasons” Series, Syona goes beyond colour and form, to explore the essence of negentropy. Negentropy is reverse entropy. It means things becoming more in order. By 'order' is meant organisation, structure and function: the opposite of randomness or chaos. One example of negentropy is a star system such as the Solar System. Back to Syona’s “Four Seasons”, the idea of a “reversible chaos” seems to play an important role, we can see throughout the series a consistent effort to re-build “out of randomness” some steady nuclei of life, being transformed, following the cycle path of nature – colourful buds in Spring, blooming flowers in Summer, yellow and red leaves in Autumn, frozen leaves in Winter and back to Spring again.
